[News] AfroGospel Movement Soars: Limoblaze’s Epic Jesus Concert & Community Hangout

On Sunday the 20th of August 2023, the AfroGospel community in Nigeria made another huge landmark as thousands of teenagers, youths & young adults gathered together at The Covenant Place Iganmu, Lagos State for a fun & Holy Ghost filled Jesus party.

The party which was spearheaded by the AfroGospel poster boy Limoblaze saw the likes of Greatman Takit, Anendlessocean, IB Quake & DJ Horphuray at the fore front of the party that night.

Aside these frontline artists, other creative within the AfroGospel & Christian music community the likes of A Mose, Oba Reengy, Maikon West, Ova Skillz & others were in attendance.

From the report of attendees, the event is a revolutionary one in the AfroGospel community. The frontliner Limoblaze, took time to appreciate all those who came out & extended thanks to Pastor Poju Oyemade the lead pastor of The Covenant Nation for his unflinching support.

In a tweet, he wrote ‘Afrogospel is here to stay and today my heart was filled with joy seeing the leaders of this movement on stage with me. Thank you so much to @pastorpoju for having a heart for the youth and making this possible. Revival is here!!!’

In subsequent tweets, he thanked the other AfroGospel artists and creative who took out time to come out to support the movement noting that even the elderly who humbly accepted the invitation and supported whole heartedly.

From when the movement of Afrogospel began, we’ve had quiet a number of faithful servants, people who believed in the vision and ran with it. Even the most elderly amongst us humbled themselves enough to believe in the vision and run hand in hand with us, no kings, just faithful servants. My love and respect to everyone of you and I pray multiplication on your labor.

After the concert, he announced an Afrogospel community hangout in partnership with music streaming platform Spotify. The hangout which is strictly by invitation to 50 artists in the AfroGospel niche based in Lagos will be one where they deliberate and talk of the future of the AfroGospel genre and how they can achieve the furtherance of the movement.

This behind doors meeting will be holding on the 26th of August by 4PM in a private location known by only the 50 invitees. Big shout out to Limoblaze for this awesome strides in the Christian music community, these efforts would be engraving his name in the history of Afrogospel music & Christian music in general.
